Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Groves at Popular Southern California Coast
An aircraft hovering over a well-attended southern California beach unexpectedly began spiraling out of control, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm trees as beachgoers observed.
Footage posted on the internet show the aircraft beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then falling near the perimeter of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm groves and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Details
Emergency responders reported five people were rushed to the hospital including two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the road were harmed. Information on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not yet disclosed.
