Earick Rules Out Tottenham Hotspur Acquisition Offer Following Expression of Interest

Daniel Levy oversaw Spurs' transition to the club's new home in 2019.

Innovative business leader Brooklyn Earick has ruled out making a formal takeover bid for Tottenham.

Tottenham had previously “clearly turned down” an informal expression of interest from a syndicate led by the American last month and maintained the club was unavailable for purchase.

Yet British acquisition regulations stipulated that, following an initial approach rejected, the interested parties had to submit a bid by late October or state they would refrain.

Confirmation of the determination was issued in a announcement released by the club to the stock exchange, confirming the team is “ceased to be in an takeover phase.”

Earick shared an snapshot of the release on online platforms, adding: “It's been a pleasure engaging with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family's delegates over the past few weeks.

“I have deep admiration for the organization, its executives, and its followers, and hope for only the best.”

The club's board thanked the consortium for its “constructive approach” in talks and for “acknowledging the definitive view” of the owners that the team is not for sale.

Earick is a ex-disc jockey who also served in space technology for NASA before establishing the innovation company, which specializes in technology, communications, sports and recreation.

Earick's proposal was the third inquiry declined by the team's directors since the unexpected exit of long-serving chairman Levy in last month.

In early fall, the team rejected offers from previous club stakeholder Amanda Staveley's PCP International and a group headed by Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng through the holding company.

Levy and his household hold about a significant stake of Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd – which has an almost 87% interest in Spurs.

He was the Premier League's longest-serving chairman and is believed to have earned over £50 million during his long tenure in the role.

Yet he was also the subject of regular protests by Tottenham supporters, particularly last season as Premier League performances were unsatisfactory.

Tottenham secured their first trophy in seventeen years when they overcame Manchester United in May's continental decider.
