Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 American Positions – Report
Paramount Skydance plans to start large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 American roles under a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction follow the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August valued at $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are expected, with the company intending to disclose all specifics during its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates suggested that Paramount planned to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 roles before the start of November.
As of December 2024, Paramount had almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 project-based staff.
The company has not yet commented to a request for comment.
